Super clutch? ehhh

With the game on the line and needing a big hit/Hr etc or I will be killed.

I'll take Ortiz over Jeter...and I'm a Yankee fan.

Jeter's numbers in "clutch situations" in the playoffs are actually pretty downright horrible.

to be honest i may be biased...never really liked Jeter.
If he didn't wear a Yankee uniform I'd probably root against him.

But thats just me...as long as he's in pinstripes I'll be rooting for him...but tired of seeing Arod have to take so much [censored] from his own fans.

i'm a met fan and still felt bad for arod...he still put up decent numbers too, just not arod-like, but still...hopefully the fans go easier on him this year, his production will be hard to match if he's gone, even in the yankees' lineup...

I'm a Yankee fan as well and am pretty much in the same situation as you. It's pretty hard not to be an A-Rod defender/Jeter basher considering the media and fans around us.

It's my poker name on most sites, and I don't really need to have UCF in my name anymore.

here's a question:

is there a scenario where ARod is a Yankee next year and still playing under his current contract?

He is not a gold glove SS, he's not the best ss on the team, if he hadnt won 4 rings hed be viewed as a good to very good player...not a god that he is now

basically hes tom brady.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a bad comparison, because clutch aside, Tom Brady is the best QB in the NFL.

Even if Jeter played for another team, he'd still be considered the second best shortstop of his era and one of the top 5 of all time.
