Any cons?

At least in test mode, usg doesn't refresh as fast.

i'm finding it difficult to adjust to the layout w/ the voting and everything. its also a pain typing a post and including a vote w/ it, but that applies more to turbos than long games as time isn't as crucial a factor.

Pro: USG doesn't get the periodic massive problems 2+2 gets.

Con: USG isn't as zippy as 2+2 in the best of times.

Pro: Automodded turbos

Con: Uh, no wasting 45 minutes nightfall d1 in order to get a count, then a coinflip, then a night resolution?

Pro: A player can fire up the automod; no separate rander needed

Con: Uh, no 'he was AFK so he can't be wolf/seer' angleshots?

The problem with USG is that it's not pog. It's like eating homemade meatloaf...just not the same unless it's mom's

Here's an honest opinion. Some of these things have already been mentioned.

Pros:

All of the software features and manageability. Round countdown timer...

Auto or human modded games.
Mass PMs.
Easy to use setup pages for the Game Starter or Human Host.
Automated night action submissions for wolves and seers.
Automatic locking at night and unlocking at day.
Choice of automatic or custom writeups.
In-thread vote buttons and choices.
Built in collapseable player notes.
Automatically posted vote counts (for rereads).
Constant current vote count embedded on the thread's page.

Cons:

You have to go to a separate forum to check signup and game threads.
Reload time can be slower due to all of the Database queries that run on each refresh.
The 2+2 community isn't there (although many of the forum members are poggers).
You can only "multi-quote" and can't create quote pyramids from stacked quotes.
The forum is a fixed width of 900 pixels.
There are only 3 forum skins.
Less members than 2+2 (LDO) and less members than POG.
Cursing is allowed (zero won our battle on that one).

I'm going to host CYOA2 over there, and it's not because of any lack of affection for POG. It's because otherwise the game is unmanageable. GT and I practically killed ourselves trying to run the first one on the 2p2 software. If it weren't for the functionality that usgamers offers, quite frankly, there wouldn't be a second one at all.

CYOA2? in!
