Re: More levels or more time?

The second- I have 10 more minutes at a lower blind than 200/400, when presumably the average M is low. [ QUOTE ] The second one is a slower structure. The BB averages 75 for the first hour while in the first one, the BB averages 100 for the first hour. [/ QUOTE ] Both of you guys are correct but what if we just say that you post blinds every 25 minutes, so at :25, :50 and :75 (1:15) In this case it costs you more under scenario 1 than scenario 2, 675 vs. 525. Thats pretty significant. It works out this way under several other examples also, maybe not as extreme though. Scenario 1 starts costing you more in the middle of this range so when you do get to the 200/400 level you actually have less. Scenario 2 costs more at the end, where I believe it will end up costing you slightly more. Wouldn't you want to preserve your chips / stack / playing ability for as long as possible? If so I would think Scenario 2 would be a better choice? Edit: After rereading the posts I think we're all in agreement? |
