$10/45 on Stars two hands.
Villian had been raising limpers frequently in position with 3 or 4 limpers, most times the limpers would just fold pre. However, anytime it got to the flop he led out a lot with around a 2/3 pot bet.

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
Hand 1: Fold It
Hand 2: Only getting AK/AJ to fold here by shoving. This looks like a fold. |

Hand 1: Fold It Hand 2: Only getting AK/AJ to fold here by shoving. This looks like a fold. [/ QUOTE ] Can you give me hand ranges, and a justification for folding please. I mean what do you put villian on in Hand 1, the only Ten I see him having is AT, I think he is doing this alot of the time with A6, or a smaller PP, and AQ, KQ, QJ, KJ. Such a small re-raise to me looked like he thought I was c-betting and tried to take it away from me. I am sorry but just telling me to fold is not going to help me when facing this situation again. |

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
Hand 1: I think you are up against 44+, JT,QT,KT,AT+.
Hand 2: I your only option is to push and once any lots of pp, JQ, KQ, AQ. just my 2 cents |

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
yeesh, that's such a bad range for hand 1, honestly.
not saying we are good here, but you honestly think villain is only popping with tens or better here? 88 will repop here plenty as well as flush draws and straight draws. not to mention the read we have on him here. im not sure what i do here, but i might call off one card and reevaluate. i also bet more on this flop, more around the turn of 3/4 or so and it makes folding to raises easier with your stack while giving you better fold equity. as for hand 2, i probably fold this unless i really had the feeling he didn't hit. you called to hit a set here, otherwise you should have shoved preflop. you didn't hit your set, and there's plenty good chance he hit a queen. there's also a good chance he didn't hit the queen, but he could also have you beat anyway. making a stand here is certainly ok in some spots and i think its bad to always fold here, but in general, a fold isn't losing much value. what are your reads here in hand 2? |

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
Shove/fold preflop in hand 2...not a huge amount of FE but if he's loose preflop it's still an okay shove. As played the only way to justify the preflop call certainly isn't nosetnobet, it's no Ace - allin. We're clearly having to make a decision for all our chips here & shoving must be right because you have the best hand too much of the time to fold But still shove/fold preflop is better.

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
Hand 1 sucks, but it is probably a fold.
Hand 2, you have to shove it on the flop. Folding would be criminal. You put in 1/4th of your stack PF. He made a c-bet on a flop that may or may not have connected with him. You could reasonably expect his entire range to c-bet this flop. You are way too priced in against his range on the flop not to shove. Edit: BTW, Shove hand 2 PF. He made a 2.5xBB raise, you have 10BBs and are against one opponent. There are times in a tournament where I am dealt a starting hand that is fairly strong where I know before it even gets to me that I am shoving (almost) no matter what. This is one of those times. Now if he raised and someone else re-raised, we'd have an easy fold. But against a single standard raise, we have a shove. |

Re: $10/45 on Stars two hands.
Hand 1: As played fold.
Hand 2: PF You have 10 BB. Calling 1/4 of your stack here to someone who has you covered 2x over is not recommended. Just shove. Post - still shove. |
