Re: Wolfmother
If you can find the EP version of the songs get those, they are quite a bit better. Much more raw.

[ QUOTE ] Anyway, here's a link to a video of Mike Patton of Faith No More fame talking about what he thinks of Wolfmother. [/ QUOTE ] Patton comes off as a huge douche in that video. [/ QUOTE ] I like the fact that he's asking what year it is, and it titles him as "Former singer of Faith no More". He's had how many years to be relevant again, and has failed. Seems better to me. I've seen him incidentally at a few concerts when I went to see other bands and one of his crap projects were playing, they all failed at everything except annoying me. Also, the song "Mind's Eye" blows me away. I like the album as a whole. |

[/ QUOTE ] Not sure which Patton projects you are referring to(some of them have been better than others), but I have to say that anything Patton has done is 100 times more original and creative than Wolfmother, regardless if you think it sucks or not. I'll take a creative effort that fails commerically over a slick rehash anyday. Patton has made his name off of his own sound rather than by recreating a well known classic sound. I still have no problem with anyone digging Wolfmother, I just believe Patton deserves credit for doing his own thing at all times. |

Re: Wolfmother
So... thanks for bumping this, guys. I've had the album for a while now, but for some asinine reason beyond my comprehension, iTunes will not put it on my iPod. This is the only album that it won't put onto my iPod. Does anyone else have a problem with this album? Maybe it's some DRM [censored]?

Patton is 100x more relevant to the current musical landscape than Wolfmother will ever be. Guess which one will still be around in 5 years? |
