Default What the heck is going on here?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/dosear...&fromprof=1

23 posts you can see for the poster, regged on the 30th.

Yet his profile shows 89 posts.

2/3rds of his posts have been deleted and he's not banned? I assume this isn't just us overlooking something.

Is there something I'm not grasping software wise?

LOL.

OK, so he's NUStar, but where are the missing 60 posts? In that thread that was deleted? (can you tell that Ryan?)

Actually, searching homepages should be a pretty good way to track down new accounts from old posters. You don't even need to do an IP check to be 90% sure that's NU Star.

I dunno man, I think the fact that he registered a couple of days ago, has 80+ posts already, has "star" in his username, and has a link to NU Star's blog was pretty good evidence for me. But maybe I'm going out on a limb.

Dids,

It is also possible he's ninja-bumping a lot. Maybe you've noticed that in your forums or the other ones he frequents (looks like MTT Community and some others).

I hope that vB gives admins the ability to view deleted post headers. That would be the end of ninja bumpers.

He never tried to contact us about the ban, which actually doesn't surprise me. He should be considered ban on sight.

Logs show he went through a stretch of ninja bumping the same thread over and over, about three times a minute. He moved on to doing the same thing with a different thread the next day.

Ryan

He is also Nutflushington, but he has promised me he won't post on it while he discusses the situation with you and Mat by PM from it, so please don't ban it yet. Thanks.

After seeing what he did the last couple days, there's really nothing left to discuss right now. His accounts are ban on sight.

He should feel free to email us anyway if he wants to but... He gets banned for making the site unusable for hours with a script, then comes back with a new account and starts more or less [censored] with the software again? And now he wants to talk about it?

Even if he hadn't done all that he would still be in bad shape from making new accounts. Once you do that you're essentially saying you're not going to deal with the people in charge. You're just hoping they'll leave you alone.

What you are saying and what he told me earlier are two different things.

I asked him to PM you and/or Mat to explain and apologise, and he tells me he did. I asked him not to post again until you had a chance to consider his apology, and he said he wouldn't.

However, I don't know the guy so I have no problems with your making an informed decision to designate him as BOS.
