i think my note "calls down is misinterpret" it should rather be chasing. He can fold A high on the river.

huh what? Is everyone reading the same hand I am?

I don't see how this hand is ever being chopped, and I think it's definitely possible for villain to have an ace. Whether he calls with the ace is a different story...but wtf?

If you guys think he doesn't have an ace and he's calling to chop, wtf are you putting him on? I'm so confused.

As for the hand, i think the barrel is probably bad and I probably just check it down

Yeah against a station at these limits i hate it. Is he really calling the flop with anything you beat? Maybe 56 but nothing else. He can easily have a boat here and players at these limits don't like to fold the A here. At higher limits against good players who can fold the A it's probly not too bad but here it's pretty spewy i think

ok it might have been a terrible spot to do it.
in fact i've 3barreled him before (the note came from that hand) and it worked. I tried it again on that hand, he folded again.

but thanks anyways

I really think this is a terrible terrible board to bluff the river. There's a reasonable chance he has an ace. Certainly he's NEVER folding an Ace, a 4 or a 7.

Once you doublebarrell and he hasn't folded, he's not going to fold.

I just think this is horrible. They guy will call with overs. So you valuebet him to death when you have something. Ugg.

dbl brl is bad, triple brl is worse. dbl brl is ok on a 744 flop if your reads are accurate, but not an A high one. As played he isn't folding really ever unless he has 56.

It would be interesting if you could get him to fold 77 in the hole there for $3.

Why are you double barreling into a calling station?

I think river's okay if villain's aggressive. If he's passive, though, he's snap-calling with anything that doesn't split and he might call anyways so you're basically bluffing at half the pot.

calls down with overs != callingstation
i think i can bluff him of any hand doesnt contain an ace.

[/ QUOTE ]

why would he fold 88/99? you dont have a 7 or a 4 unless you have quads...
