You're getting almost direct pot odds and villain probably likes his hand enough to pay you off when a flush hits. When he check/minraises he probably has either air or a hand that call shoves, so calling is best.

I dont think a push is terrible. If he has a hand like kq you are even money, and a favorite over a 7 or any pair lower than jack. Basically, as long as villain doesnt have a set you dont need much fold equity for this play to work. I would much rather shove over with a little fold equity than miss the draw on the turn and have villain bet out again.

I think with position you have to just call and try to hit your flush cheaply. I hate shoving because min-raises are generally air or nuts so you're only getting called by hands you don't have odds against. The bonus of that is that most villains will stack off with their set against your nut flush.
