Can any information in the mod thread be brought back to here or the zoo? I don't understand why it was moved and hearing information instead of speculation would be really appreciated.

this [censored] is [censored] up. i mean, i don't understand a lot of it because this thread really doesn't say much, but so far i assume that..

a) absolute made an account that can see the hole cards of the other player (but not the cards to come on the turn and river)
b) lol

[/ QUOTE ]

fyp

ap's RNG: safe. ap's ability not to make superuser accounts that see everyone's hole cards: compromised

[/ QUOTE ]

If all this is actually true, do you see Absolute taking any steps to reimburse the victims?

A better question is do you think Absolute will ever admit to all this?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that Absolute will claim they were hacked and had nothing to do with this... blah, blah, blah. They'll tell us they've locked that "user's" account and have confiscated "his" funds. Then they will make noises about reimbursements, but never get around to doing anything.

Seriously, is ANYONE surprised to hear this about Absolute?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think Absolute would ever admit they were hacked or compromised in anyway. It would be so bad for their business and online poker in general.

edit: link edited out as it now goes to the mod forum

Cliff notes: Looks like AP has a compromised 'superuser' account that can read everyone's hole cards. gg.

edit again: thread stickied, super ultra tldr cliff note hand added

Maybe it will just be bad...

I originally thought that it would be bad in the short term if this was true. But in the long term, I thought it would provide some assurance for the number of people who think online poker is rigged.

we're not supposed to, but since ATF broke that rule to celebrate nath's 20K post I think I can bend it for this

LOL yeah I thought about that before.

But I agree I think we're going to need to see more than one HH per account to make sure it isn't just some drunk guy with a load of cash. I mean, are these people playing a LOT or what's up?

not saying that nothing is going on... but is there more evidence than just "omg look this guy called with 10 high"?

that said i think it would be wise to stay out of the high stakes games on abs until this is resolved....
