Is this weird or am I just paranoid?

My daughter talked me into taking her to the movie Zoom yesterday. We went to a noon showing so we would have time to get something to eat after the movie and still make it to her karate class on time.

Before we enter the theater my daughter and I make predictions on how many people will be in the theater. I say none besides us because:
1. It's noon on a weekday and most kids are in school. Zoom is definitely a kid's movie.
2. For a 20 screen multiplex this place never seems very busy anyway.
3. Zoom has been out for a week and a half.
4. Zoom is a bad movie.

Anyway, we walk into the theater and find there is one other person waiting to see the movie - a 30-40 year old man sitting alone. We took our seats about 5 minutes before the start of the movie. As we wait, 3 other men enter the theater individually and sit down at far corners of the theater.

This strikes me as very odd. We've been to this theater is similar situations and the only people I've seen at this type of movie are families on vacation.

Nothing unusual happened during the movie, but I can't help but wonder how it is that 4 separate men between the ages of 30 and 50 wind up in that movie theater at that time.

I really like this answer. I'm in Florida so it's way too hot to nap in your car. For $5.75 they get a comfy seat, dimmed light, and air conditioning for 2 hours. Of course they would pick a theater they expect to be empty.

When I worked in the mall, it was common for the movie theater to have regulars who saw movies every single day. They were typically 30-50 year old men and occasionally women who bought popcorn and had nothing better to do with their time.

Seems pretty weird to me, I doubt they're just in there for a nap but it's probably nothing like a bunch of pedophiles, I'd say kyleb summed it up pretty well
