I found online poker September 2004. I lost ~$450-500, then found 2+2. Since then, i've bought a sexy car with my winnings.

Born on my birthday...the summer after I graduated from high school. I always sort of knew that at 38 I'm one of the old farts around here, but this thread has really driven the point home.

I'm a married stay-at-home dad with with two children (10 and 8) who I am homeschooling this year. I started playing online poker in August 2005 with a $200 deposit at PokerStars. I've played about 1250 SNGs ($5.50s to $60s) since then, with respectable results, and have never needed a reload. I managed a grand slam last month which I guess is my best poker accomplishment (sad as it is).

Enlightening post. Usually when I seek out advice on things, I go to the older and wiser. With this forum, I have to settle for just wiser. I didn't realize everyone was so young, not that I'm that old.
