Default (NC) for anyone who has the most basic understanding of math...

Im having an argument with some morons about going for an XP or 2 point conversion in football. Its the most obvious spot in the world to go for 2 and every conversion chart in the planet says its a slam dunk decision to go for the 2 point conversion. Naturally like 80% of the people in this forum disagree with me no matter what I say.

Can some of you please come over to this site and call them stupid morons, its really disturbing to me how clueless people are. It's not like this is poker, this is like the most basic math problem where a team is down by 2 points with 10 minutes left and they all want to go for the XP! I'm not allowed to be mean on the Internet anymore (or Im at least trying not to be!) so I'm having trouble fully letting my emotions out on this one, but it makes me sad for humanity somehow.

cmon guys make a freaking account for me! I mean I have even supplied them with links that say if you will make the 2 pt conversion something like 10% of the time, that its correct to go for it, and they are somehow able to blissfully ignore them all.

So why would they pay attention to some noob? Math is not a democracy. You tried and failed to edumacate them. Or they are just trolling. Next.

They do understand you're talking about the 4th quarter right? Teams donk it up all the time by going for two early in the third quarter when they just need the freaking points. With 10 minutes left in the 4th...no brainer.

Here's a chart that makes it pretty clear...

http://www.footballcommentary.com/twoptchart.htm

If they make it 8% of the time (NFL average around 43%), then going for two is mathematically correct.

you are all a bunch of geeks "Math" and "Logic" don't always apply. The coach should do what FEELS right here. If if FEELS good to kick it based upon his guts then he should.
