You need to raise a lot more preflop. Someone with 25 vpip should have about a 17-18 pfr.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think my raising isn't as high as others for two reasons:

1) I try to play in passive games and try to see cheap flops with marginal preflop holdings against a field.

2) I know my tendency to get retarded when I (correctly) preflop raise out of position and completely miss the flop.

Perhaps I should look at my preflop raise from the BB? I do a lot of calling Cutoff or Button raisers with marginal holdings knowing I'm getting 3-to-1. Should I have more of a "if I'm playing it from the BB, I'm raising with it" mentality?

I dont 3 bet much out of the bb. If youre getting retarded after making a correct preflop raise, then just dont get retarded. Dont stop raising it preflop. Are you raising after limpers with stuff like QJs JTs A9s? 11.5 seems so low.

Definitely not doing this after the limpers, maybe that's part of my problem. I tend to either open-raise or 3-bet a raiser but not raise after a limper too often unless it's an obvious raising hand.

It is better to raise after a limper...unless you have something like JTs that prefers a multiway pot. You want to isolate the limper and create dead money in the pot. Not to mention that you will give the perception of a bigger hand than you may have simply because people think if you raise after there is already a raiser you are not raising to steal. Make sense?

holy crap. I hope you got some of their money Zack because those two morons killed me. It was a blood bath. I felt like going on an AMC rant.

Guys three betting with K5s, catch runner runner and the NOT betting it. The one retard is bluffing you with 84 and then of course when I play him he catches a 4 outer to take a million from me in FH over FH.
