Albert Pujols

How long will it take before he gets the same kind of respect from opposing pitchers/teams as Barry? As of right now, Barry's got 16IBB's to lead the major leagues, and Pujols is 2nd with 6, tied with Jim Thome.

I understand the Cards' lineup is a bit more imposing than the Giants', but I'd much rather be facing Jim Edmonds than Pujols, who's hitting home runs like he's playing in a silo. Last night I saw him hit a perfect pitcher's pitch (low and away), and calmly lace it into shallow center field for a run-scoring single.

The guy's hitting .333/.469/.833. He's not a fluke. This guy should be getting pitched around a lot more, shouldn't he?

What makes Barry more scary than Pujols?

Hopefully never. Albert's probably getting walked as much as he should be. Barry shouldn't have been walked as much as he was.

I know what it is, it's because he's latino isn't it? You never heard about Mark Mcguire and the juice when he was hitting all those bombs. Now Pujols has one good month and all of a sudden on every internet forum out there it's "he must be juicing, he must be juicing." Why can't you just leave race out of this?

fwiw his transformation from juco--->minors---->majors production is pretty sick
