Have you heard Pieces of the People We Love by The Rapture? It's sick good, but maybe you didn't like it.

Also, Sound of silver is better than I originally thought, but still not my thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah i don't think i've ever disliked anything the rapture did.

Oh, also, I'm a huge Interpol fan so they can probably do no wrong in my eyes, but I love Our Love to Admire. Granted it's more of the same, but if it's not broke...

God I hate pimping albums right after they're on Pitchfork but for anyone who likes dancepunk (nu-rave now? [censored] NME i'm not calling it that)

New Young Pony Club - Fantastic Playroom

is really good. i would compare it to... newer The Rapture (Echoes more than Out of the Races EP) with a female vocalist.

i've been waiting for an album like this for a long time so i'm really excited about this one.

I also hate doing this, but since mason started it...

the los campesinos EP "Sticking Fingers into Sockets" is awesome. My equation for their sound is archicture in helsinki+stars/bss+matt and kim. Plus there is a pavement cover! It's only 6 songs and fifteen minutes long, and there's no let up in terms of quality. Very fun record.

Mason, please pimp any album you wish, since my retirement, I barely go to Pitchfork anymore. This is good stuff. Thanks.

Also, I'm not sure if you were ever into noisecore like botch, coalesce etc, but I randomly heard some band from the West Coast called Don the Gatherer, they are on Myspace. Pretty cool [censored] if I was 20 again, and still pretty good now.

I feel the need to let you guys know about a from my hometown of Edmonton, Canada: Shout Out Out Out

Shout Out Out Out Out = two drummers + four bass players + two samplers + five synthesizers+ two vocoders

Last February they were nominated for a Juno award (Canada's Grammy awards) in the alternative album of the year category for their debut album Not Saying/Just Saying.

Check them out:
Shout Out Out Out Out: Self Loathing Rulz

Some of their album on CBC Radio 3 - Note: Be sure to click the play button on their songs since some other music will automatically load.

Shout Out Out Out Out - Dude you feel electrical

Shout Out Out Out Out - Nobody calls me unless they want something

Their CD really grew on me after a couple of listens and now it's one of my favorites!

Also contributing vocals to the album are ... Public Enemy's Chuck D on "Flashlight Fight".
