Re: No hand converter, 1/2 LO8 hand
I think you have to fold. Once in a while your aces will be good for high or you'll get a quarter for low, but I think the chances are small enough that a fold is correct.

Re: No hand converter, 1/2 LO8 hand
A fold is standard and frustrating. I'd call with aces up though, on that board.

I'm not too caught up on >2 players LO8, but can we find a fold on the flop here? We don't even have bd flush draws.

Re: No hand converter, 1/2 LO8 hand
Folding flop doesn't seem right. If you assume that it's 70% likely that you are the only one with a nut low draw, you have about 25% pot equity there (accounting for chance of quartering) and another 5% or so from the backdoor str8. And you only have to call one more SB into a 6SB pot to see another card. Folding here is crazy weak-tight, I think you play too much pot limit .

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not going to fold this flop no way no how. River... you know with the river I have a 2 way hand it's just not the nuts. Against 3 opponents it's not that bad, but they're both playing like they have 2 different nuts. I guess I posted this because I would have won the low (the other guy had A4 and nothing else) and the high hand didn't have anything for low. I think calling is losing money in the logn run. Thanks for the simple but consise responses! |

[/ QUOTE ] With no pair, no real draw, I'll usually fold the flop against decent opponents. Without a read at 1-2, I'm not folding the flop though, because there are really some bad ones that litterally play 90% of their hands. I want to find that out right away and how bad they are after the flop. |

Re: No hand converter, 1/2 LO8 hand
We have a pair of aces which could hold up, and we have nut low draw.
As you say at 1/2 there are some bad players, and you're right. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I'm not too caught up on >2 players LO8, but can we find a fold on the flop here?
