Default Role of physical appearance on elections

This is part of a research paper im writing and i was wondering if any of you know of any good sources on the topic. I remember reading some essays in highschool governement but havent been able to find them yet.

I have already found / read about the study that said most people cane predict which canidate will win an election by looking at their pictures for something like .25 of a second.

Fred Thompson will be the next president because he has blue eyes. Here's the proof:

Also, Surftheiop, you might want to google info on the Kennedy, Nixon debates. These were, I believe, the first major debates held on television, and Kennedy came across looking like a movie star next to Nixon. Kennedy was an overwhelming favorite in the debates as far as viewers were concerned, even though the judges at the event opined that Nixon won the debate. ( this is all from my memory, you might want to google for more info)

I remember hearing Jimmy The Greek tell a story of why he put a large bet on Truman to beat Dewey in '48. The reason: Dewey had a moustache.
