25 NL - JJ on dry flop.
Villain is 53/28/3 over 100 hands. I have not really seen them get out of line on any street, though. Lots of raising and betting, but nothing crazy.

Re: 25 NL - JJ on dry flop.
I would c/c turn and bet the river, he might bet a medium pair/A2/A4 (and kings, but i think he would raise a K at the flop usually).

Re: 25 NL - JJ on dry flop.
Is there a reason why you're making it 6BB preflop?
Def. check-call turn. |

Re: 25 NL - JJ on dry flop.
Why would you bet this flop? Your not folding a K, so check to get some value from 88 and alike.

But you may get more value from 88 by betting, because I think it's often calling the flop bet. Plus, if you only bet flops like these for value with a king or better, then you have to cut way back on how often you c-bet when you miss, because you won't have a king here all that often. That may matter more at higher stakes, though. |

Re: 25 NL - JJ on dry flop.
Based on his stats/looseness, i doubt he's setting a trap for you on the flop, I would put him on ace high or smaller pocket. I think I would be tempted to bet out this turn to get him to fold, but c/c then come out firing on the river makes more sense to get some more value on him. I think he'll bet 90% of the time when you check to him on the turn.
HoldEmNewby - Why would you bet on an A-high flop, but check a K-high? Is that so you get a feel of where you are on the A-high (i.e. he raises, you slow down; he folds, you stack your chips?) |
