Jimbo, so when I pay off my car today I just go in and tell them I need a lein release as well? Are they going to give me the run-around here?

They have no incentive to give you the run-around. My small sample size of 1 says that they'll give you the release as because it is no longer valid anyway.

Correct. Also my missing "L" in release was driving me crazy!

lol, I didn't even notice.

Thanks for the info. I paid it off today. They said they'd mail the title, lein release, and all other necessities in 14 days or less. Feels good; I'm 28 and never owned a car!
