Default WCOOP: Spiked Ace on the river, being check-raised

The table has been pretty tight. Overrall, not a lot of hands going to showdown. Usually hands are being won preflop or on the flop.

Blinds are 50/100 avg. stack is about 17,000

Hero has 26,000
Villain has 19,000 and is UTG+1

Hero has: A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in MP
1 fold, Villain raies to 400, 1 fold, Hero re-raises to 1,200, folded back to villain

Flop: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Villain checks, Hero bets 1,500,, Villains calls

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
Check, Check

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Villain Checks, Hero bets 1,500, villain raises to 4,400, Hero?

I am most interested in the river. Preflop, I don't often 3-bet this, but with deep stacks and a tighter table, I felt like splashing around. I have to think he either flopped a set of 6s or 8s or he must have air and is check-raising on a bluff? Thoughts?

I bet small because I thought he would call a small bet from me with a weak K, KQ, KJ
