The problem with this, though, is that a lot of the notes that you play in GH aren't even played by guitars in the actual song. Some of them are drums and/or drum machines. There is also a part where the real guitarist uses a whammy bar, but you are required to play dozens of notes insanely fast instead.

There is a point where a GH song just becomes stupid, and this crossed it (and then went miles past the stupid point).

pft. I think TFAF looks fine. I'm glad they put in one song that just passing will a huge challenge to someone like me who has played too much. I dont want to beat every song in the game in one day. I expect to beat TFAF at some point, just not for a while. Its a bonus song, so you dont have to beat it if you dont want to.

Which isnt to say a song can be too hard. If you really want to see some songs that do cross the stupid difficulty line you have to play some crappy customs. Here's a video of Eruption by Van Halen

don't shoot the messenger, just passing along rumored/leaked info as a fan of the game -- you are correct though about not putting too much stock into it, that's the same with any rumored/leaked info, we will see come release date (which can't get here soon enough)
