3 handed $7.5/15 DEEP calldown vs. Foshio on DRY flop but nasty river
(This might belong in HSNL...)
No reads at all. I recognize his name from Stars and he's a solid aggressive tournament player from there (we both top-3ed a weeknight $150 there a loooooooooooong time ago, he probably doesn't remember). Again, just sat down about 15 hands ago, I've probably been a shade tighter than him (which means nothing in 15 hands). This hand occurred against shorty b_dub like 4 hands ago where I made somewhat stupid river bluff: Seat 3: foshio ($2,775) Seat 5: b_dub9675309 ($1,476.30) Seat 6: psyduck ($3,149) foshio posts the small blind of $7.50 b_dub9675309 posts the big blind of $15 The button is in seat #6 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to psyduck [7h 6d] psyduck raises to $50 foshio folds b_dub9675309 calls $35 *** FLOP *** [3d Jd 4c] b_dub9675309 checks psyduck bets $66.65 b_dub9675309 calls $66.65 *** TURN *** [3d Jd 4c] [Ks] b_dub9675309 checks psyduck checks *** RIVER *** [3d Jd 4c Ks] [Kh] b_dub9675309 bets $100 psyduck raises to $600 b_dub9675309 has 15 seconds left to act b_dub9675309 calls $500 *** SHOW DOWN *** psyduck shows [7h 6d] (a pair of Kings) b_dub9675309 shows [Js Tc] (two pair, Kings and Jacks) ... anyway the actual hand: I think flop and turn play are pretty standard. Pay off river or fold (that's one scary [censored] card, but what hand combination makes sense for his flop lead?) Seat 3: foshio ($2,775) Seat 5: b_dub9675309 ($2,169.45) Seat 6: psyduck ($2,454.85) foshio posts the small blind of $7.50 b_dub9675309 posts the big blind of $15 The button is in seat #6 *** HOLE CARDS *** Dealt to psyduck [Jd Th] psyduck raises to $50 foshio calls $42.50 b_dub9675309 calls $35 *** FLOP *** [Ts 3c 3d] foshio bets $105 b_dub9675309 folds psyduck calls $105 *** TURN *** [Ts 3c 3d] [7c] foshio bets $360 psyduck calls $360 *** RIVER *** [Ts 3c 3d 7c] [9c] foshio bets $1,080 me ?????????? edit: I'm almost certain he's 3-betting JJ+ pf. |

Re: 3 handed $7.5/15 DEEP calldown vs. Foshio on DRY flop but nasty river
Why is the river scary? Turn is an easy fold unless you really think he's bluffing, in which case the river doesn't change anything.
