automatics are what you buy when you are 30+ years old and have realised that driving isn't fun anymore and you are completely sick of forever changing gears in traffic.

I just got a new car(automatic) and it is very fun to drive.

very nice car, 2 questions though. why would it be a beat if it was an automatic? and why are there so few manuals in america and why does everyone learn to drive automatics instead of manuals?

[/ QUOTE ]

how else are we supposed to drive while drinking/eating, talking on a cell phone, or using a PDA while driving?

or in my case, surfing the net on my laptop

especially for anyone that frequently drives intoxicated seems like higher risk, but i assume manual becomes second nature so wouldnt matter...

if this is something you consider when buying a car, you should seriously consider doing something that i can't say because i might get banned

how do you make monies? Off your site?

I used to run/own thepokerdb.com and then sold it to Bluff Media last December.

I have other income sources too from other businesses, but I don't think I'm going to sidetrack this thread with that stuff.

I would if there were enough people who cared. Dunno which forum I'd do it in though.

With regards to the automatic discussion, I've always driven manuals. Both of my parents prefer manual. My first car was a hand-me-down from my dad and it was a manual. So I wasn't going to get anything other than the G37 6MT. But I had to test drive the automatic because they didn't have manual on the lot and I did like it. The paddle shifters were cool and they responded quickly. It was just too foreign to me to shift with paddles though. I didn't know what gear I was in most of the time and I was constantly messing up with the paddles. I'm comfortable with a manual. So that was the bottom line for me.
