Default is this just getting me in trouble?

I have really been trying to plug some leaks. Is this one, or is this standard?

Villain is like 60/6 but only over 35 hands

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP1 ($22.50)
MP2 ($25.20)
CO ($10.30)
Hero ($41.65)
SB ($19.09)
BB ($8.20)
UTG ($23.55)
UTG+1 ($13.40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, MP1 calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.35) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $0.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $2</font>, MP1 calls $1.75.

Turn: ($6.35) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">MP1 bets $0.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $5</font>, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: $11.60

NO. I like this bet. Min bets are weak and should be raised accordingly.

I tend to raise min bets unless I have notes that warn me otherwise.

Why are you even raising 60/6 guy preflop with T9s? You dont have any folding equity preflop, he usually wont give it up on the flop to a cb, you will rarely hit the flop, so how exactly are going to make money there?

And i dont like the raise on the turn, these kind of villains dont fold any better hands here.

as far as i'm concerned a flop bet of 1/25 of the pot is a check. given that I have a pair and he's shown no stregnth by checking the flop follow threw with my second bet.

Actually, these min bets are usually really crappy blocking bets for people trying to hit flush draws.

Yeah, but they'll also call with worse ones. It's a value bet IMO. Plus hero has position on river.

Just call that turn bet and re-evaluate river. Raising like that will get you owned.

I'm assuming this is sarchasm, and that you are aware of the dramatic difference in hand strength between 89s and 72s. I was just trying to help you. Getting isolated with crappy players is probably the most underrated thing in NLH.

Also, if the opponent is bad enough, and the stacks are deep enough, then i'd love to 72s isolated against him.
