Default $50 NL: Seeing Monsters or Am I Beat?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Villian haas not gotten out of line all session.

Flop: I viewed his weak flop bet as an attempt to steal the pot, but when he called I knew it was time to play poker. I put his range on FD, AXs, KQ, middle PP including TT.

Turn: I didn't like the turn card as AJ is more likely in his range than say A3. And a J made his most likely straight draw (KQ).

When he checked the Turn I was half expecting a c/r, which is probably why I perhaps bet it too light. I was also concerned about betting too much and folding out a PP-type hand. Down side is I gave drawing hands decent odds.

River: Wasn't scared of the 8, but was concerned that he bet out. No way folding, just not sure if I call or raise.

MP1 ($45.90)
MP2 ($67.90)
CO ($31.45)
Hero ($42.75)
SB ($45.25)
BB ($50.15)
UTG ($55.25)
UTG+1 ($48.40)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG raises to $2, 4 folds, Hero calls $2, SB calls $1.75, 1 fold.

Flop: ($6.50) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $1.5, UTG folds, Hero raises to $6, SB calls $4.50.

Turn: ($18.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $5, SB calls $5.

River: ($28.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $10, Hero calls ??.

Questions:

Turn - Does that J slow you down or do you bet bigger?

River - Call, push, or min-raise thinking his is a blocking bet?

any chance u have his pfr %?

I doubt he puts you on AK here after that vaginal turn bet. Please just check if you are going to bet that small...What was your plan if he did c/r? If it was to fold, this is an obv. check behind. If it was push, well, nice try for inducing w/ the weak bet.

You have 18 left after you call this....I just push it in here TBH. Most times if this is a boat, donkeys make pot or overbets on river.

i hate this hand
whatever it is he's playing passive as hell
maybe he has a weaker Ace?

if youve been exhibiting aggression lately this could very well be a trap (TT AJ)

i dont know enough about villian or your table image to deduce much more. im just flat calling river

wtf

I would bet 12 on the turn; you're still probably ahead. Alternatively, you could just check the turn and call a river bet, as this is probably a WA/WB situation.

Don't minraise the river. I'd just call.

Check the turn, call a river bet.

call, Villian has an ace and you are only beating AQ and A9. You tie AK and lose to AJ A10 A8. call river

I re-raise preflop, re-raise pot on flop, check turn if not draw heavy, bet if checked to on river.

without any info on the villain im checking behind on the turn and calling his river bet, this way we extract some money from weaker ace, and not loose too much to a boat.
You are really beating just AQ here, unless you know more about this villain

I'm not quite sure you bet 5 on this turn. Either bet for real and for value or check-behind to keep the pot small, as it seems you want. I don't think it's nearly as bad as people seem to think it is, as I would fire out on all streets and just call on river if he bets.
