so you are referencing somehting you know nothing about, and are completely wrong.
to educate you: 1. no league was shut down a. it was italy 2. players were not gambling a. it was based upon the choosing of referees that was still a huge scandal and the biggest team in Italy, Juventus (one of the most stacked teams in the world) got demoted. But that is a far far cry from a top three league being shut down for players gambling.
