Default Is Showboat the toughest casino to play in AC?

I asked in a thread about which casino was the best for 1/2 no limit. Some people said Borgata had bad players and so did Foxwoods. I was deciding between tropicana, Taj and Showboat and ended up going to Showboat today. I could have taken the jitter bus to Borgata but just decided to play 3-4 hours at Showboat and not waste any time taking the bus.

I dont know abuot you guys but when i played at the showboat from 1230-230pm of 1-2 no limit, there were only 2 tables. Most of the players at the table were at least average. I did not even notice one fish at the table that did any bad plays. I only won 1 hand only and was down about 120 for the 2 hours of play or so b/c i wasnt catching any hands.

Have any of you players played at showboat 1-2 no limit and can give your opinion on what you thought about the game there? Maybe i was there at a bad time since it was during the day and there were only 2 tables, but 1-2 no limit there was not SOFT at all. It played a bit better than 50NL on full tilt poker. I hear people say 1-2 no limit at casino is like 0.05/0.10 no limit on Bodog but it is NO WHERE near that in what i saw today

I did not see anyone calling a big all in with bottom pair. There was even one player who folded A10 diamonds to someones all in when the board was like 2 diamonds and a heart because he thought the other guy had AA. I thought A10 diamonds would be an instant call with the nut flush draw at 1-2 no limit in the casinos. I was also playing a hand where i got C/r on the turn all in and i had a low pair and the guy who i was playing against was pretty solid and i was like 99.999 percent sure i was behind because i know the way he played and just knew i couldnt beat his hand.

Is showboat like the toughest poker casino in AC because this is sort of harder than 50NL on full tilt poker and you guys know how tight the players at full tilt at 50-200NL are... to the low limit grinders. The next time i go, i will go to Borgata since people say theres like 8 tables full of fish at 1-2 no limit. But now I am getting worried that Borgota might be like this too. When i saw 2 tables when i came to the pokerroom, i knew this wasn't easy like what people say it was.

Any insight would be great. Thanks.

The Borgata is full of morons. I've never been to Showboat, but the room is smaller. The Borg has better game selection.

Do you really think that playing two hours of 1/2 NL at a casino is long enough to determine how loose/soft the games are, especially early in the afternoon? Play later in the evening and the games at Showboat are as good as anywhere else in the city.

I also noticed that most of the players there seemed like regulars. Most of them know the other players as well. I thnk there are more grinders than most people expect.

Generally when people talk about soft competition, they are thinking about a single player that they beat at one point. They often ignore the other solid players at the table because they didn't collide with them much.

I think the Showboat has some of the worst players.
Yes everyone for the most part know one another, however that does not mean they play well.

I have played the overnights on Fridays and Saturdays and the games get out of control.

It all depends on the time you play there.

A little secrect for you, just because they play there regularly does not mean they play well.

Having played at the SHOWBOAT before I thought this thread was a joke. Seems like the OP should adjust to the table or find a new table. As far as players calling allins with bottom pair havn't seen that too often. Seems the OP had high expections and expected the fish to wire their money direct to his account.
