Default St. Maarten Casinos

Anyone been to St. Maarten that can give me the details on the casinos there.

Atlantis one says they have hold'em but it doesn't say if its limit, no-limit, buyins, etc.

Do you know when Atlantis added a poker room? I was there 2 months ago and they didn't have one. The pit boss said they plan to add one next year.

I've been to St Maarten before but didn't visit the casino (you wouldn't want to unless you were there for more than a day or two - teh place is too awesome to waste time at a casino). Sounds like you are going to the Bahamas as well. As far as I know the only poker played at the Atlantis is done during PCA.

Planning a cruise maybe?

Played there about a year ago. Atlantis spread 4/8 limit and a 10/20 holdem/omaha mix game. The brush there was a great guy, really went out of his way to help you out, even drove me and my wife back to the hotel a few times. 1 or 2 players had an idea what was going on, but mostly a joke. Went off most nights, but usually started up a little late (11-ish) Tried to get a NL game going once, but not enough players knew the rules (not kidding)

Casino Royale spread a 5-10-20 limit game, but the place was a dump. Was always short handed, with drunken tourists. When it went off, was like a license to print money. Think a game only went off about 2 times when I was there though (over about 2 weeks)

I think I posted in the past that it would be a great place for an internet pro. Play online in paradise all day, and then fleece the tourists for a little fun on the weekends in the most velvetly soft games ever.

(to the above poster I think he meant hotel atlantis in St Maarten, not the one in the bahamas. No poker in the bahamas except for during the events)

Yes, this makes sense now. To OP, GL at the tables, sounds like some really soft games to be played!

OP: On an off note, I will be there for a day (on a cruise stop, which is why I was asking) Nov. 9th. If you are there at the time, connect with me via PM and maybe we'll have a beer or two at some point.
