So I finally got lucky yesterday. Was buried two racks in two downs and climbed back to a 2 rack win. saw a juicy 30 game today, hit n ran it for 2 racks. Left when the live ones busted. Good signs going into the Fall Classic.

Just played a 22 hour live session and did not pick up pockets aces even once. I am sure that is a personal record. Anyone beat that?

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you serious? That's like 600-700 hands. That's not exactly a long stretch for not getting any particular pocket pair.

[/ QUOTE ]

During the WSOP I had a ~30 hour stretch where I didn't get AA or KK, I did not win money.

i didn't get AA or KK in the main event for about 30 hours. i won money.

Default Re: No aces for me

After the most punishing downswing of my career, I finally had a winning session tonight. 2 racks of yellow added to my kitty, which was way refreshing considering my inability to hit anything.

Best hands I won:

1) I raise ATs and get called by 2 fish in the blinds. Flop all rags with 2 hearts (I have diamonds). I bet, one idiot calls. Turn nothing heart, he checks, I check behind. River nothing (board now is like 97532). He bets in a weird way and I decide no hand makes sense for him to bet so I call with ace-ten high. He shows A4 and MHIG.

2) A LAG opens and I 3-bet TT, a so-so thinkingish player who may be on tilt cold-calls 3 in LP, we both call. Flop 622. LAG checks, I bet, LP raises, LAG folds, I call. Turn A. Since I put LP on a very narrow range of JJ+ and AK to cold-call 3 bets, I decided that he never raises AK on that flop, so he has to have one of three hands: JJ, QQ, KK. That's it. So I check, he flinches and bets, I insta-raise, and he angrily mucks KK face up and says "there! take it!" OK I will.

3) Another TT hand... there's a LP raise, a maniac 3-bets the button, I cap in the SB, and BB idiot takes 3 more to the face. 4 to the flop of 533. I bet, all call. Turn K. I bet, BB and maniac call. River Q. Checks through, and MHIG.

See, I can win with small pairs and ace high. It's when I keep flopping top set, or making flushes and full houses, that I lose and lose and lose until I cry.

yea joker, it's also when the guy with a-4 on a board of 9-7-5-3-2 somehow loses to u in a weird new hand ranking way where the wheel is not good against a suited ace.
