every new OS uses more resources... its easy to handle and will improve with those servicepacks... if you have 2 gigs memory get vista, else get xp |

Re: XP or Vista on new laptop?
Take into account I'm not very computer savvy, but I spent 5 hours trying to get all my poker stuff set up on a Vista laptop before I gave up and went back to XP.

I upgraded with another 2gig flash chip, which really picked up the speed. Vista really likes flash memory plugins. I got mine from Kingston.com and was really affordable. Here's what I got (I am NOT affiliated with them in any way) DTR/2GB USB 2.0 DataTraveler w/ReadyBoost1 $52.00 I've had it for about six months and love it. I allocated all two gigs to flash and none to storage on the USB chip. |
