Players: At very first glance it looks like an extremely nitty game, but I haven't been around very long.

Principal players:

Hijack (HJ)-Semi-loose passive. (poster)
CO- Middle aged woman player. Not much known since she is very new.

Preflop (1.5 small bets): Hijack poster checks, CO calls, I complete with 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], BB checks.

Flop: (4 small bets): Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I bet, HJ calls, CO calls.

Turn: (3.5 big bets): J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I check, HJ checks, CO bets, I call, HJ calls.

River: (6.5 big bets): 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Who likes sexy here against a female player?

I like to play a lot of hands on the button, but not this one. Just bet the river.

Given how passively she's played the hand, she checks behind too frequently in this situation for there to be much value in check-raising. Plus, the other player may fold for two bets when he would've called one bet.

In addition, you put yourself in a position to get raised by one of the players, allowing you to make it 3 bets, while it's very unlikely either player will 3-bet a check-raise.

And, as others have said, fold preflop.

I don't sexy this river. The turn action was bad for that. You only win 2 bets when you c/r and i don't think you get it to work 50% of the time. Just bet.

I opted to go for the check-raise.

River action: I check, HJ check, CO bets, I check-raise HJ folds, CO calls and showed QJ for top two.

In retrospect, I probably should have insured that a bet go in as there's a good chance that both players will call. There's a great chance that the female player will check behind a one pair hand. In addition, if she overlooked things for just a moment, she may raise and enable me to 3-bet.
