Re: Endurance Prop Bets (Pool & Ocean) in Turks & Caicos
One dude said 40k, Apathy said him and G2CU were in. That should be 100k right there right? What about Durrr, anyone talk to him about this, should be right up his alley.

... For instance, several players and I didn't bet Jeff Madsen five figures that he wouldn't run down a bowling lane in Reno and bowl a strike with his head for the money - we just thought it would be funny as hell to watch him try! (btw, he didn't take the bet... [/ QUOTE ] Now, THAT would have been a prop bet! True creative genius! |

Re: Endurance Prop Bets (Pool & Ocean) in Turks & Caicos
Sean - PADI rescue diver, or are you more experienced than that?
I'm not sure how much diving experience will help you win this bet. I guess it helps with being comfortable in the water etc. Without seeing the area I wouldn't like to say which way I'd bet. It could be easy money for McCabe (in the sense low risk of losing, still hard work) or it could be bravado. Given how keen he is to make this bet, I suspect it's an easy win as long as he doesn't need to poop. |

Re: Endurance Prop Bets (Pool & Ocean) in Turks & Caicos
I think while it would definitely suck, he could still do this. I know at least in T&C (i've spent a lot of time on Provo) that there are a lot of sandy, calm bay beaches where there is no strong tide and the ground is fine white sand.
In a situation like this he could def keep his shoulders below water and do stuff like crawling into shallower water just adjusting how extended his legs were so that he could sit on the sand for a few hours to rest (and the water will always be warmer the shallower it is) and since the effects of tide/waves would be minimal that could help a lot. I am not as familiar with Aruba although I believe there are stronger tradewinds there (not sure what they are like in the fall though), but from what I have seen it seems like there would be some similar flat, sandy calm beachy areas that would make this very doable for McCabe. |

C'mon.. it'll be tough! You guys are killing my action BTW, I can't wade into shallower waters. I have to be in 5 and half feet of water at all times; therefore, I can't rest at all.
Where'd all the "against" guys go? |
