Dear nit op,

Please read

Pretty sure any attempt at doing this is failing as Ari has been the only good character for over a year now and even his schtick is getting tiresome.

are you kidding. The only reason I watch this show is for the characters, which I could watch forever.

I really enjoyed Entourage tonight anyway. I hate it when they have some super-serious dramatic thing like the "criminal old friend that comes to visit". This was perfect. There's still ongoing stories (will Vince resign with Ari, will he get Medeien, but the focus is on the characters and the light-hearted humor.

My favorite was seeing Ari get all conflicted and then go to the party to save Lloyd. When Ari says "I hope I never get on your bad side" and then Lloyd says "Ari Gold, you could never" while holding his hand, that was just priceless.

Entourage is a fun show, but the shine is wearing off. The characters, besides maybe E, are all obvious one-note jokes (Ari's an a**hole! Turtle's lazy! Drama's old and unsuccessful!). I watch it, but it's a very guilty pleasure--basically Sex and the City for guys.

This show was actually kind of deep. It was all about loyalty;

-Turtle to his dog, his brother in arms, representing the entourage
-Ari to those around him, Lloyd to him
-Questioning Eric's loyalty, Sloan or Vince?
-Vince ignoring his new agent's calls as he has no loyalty to her

I felt like Eric and Vince were completly out of character during their dinner, but everything else was good.

7.5/10

I hope there isn't continues friction between Sloan and Eric on the show. I just want to see her happy.

I think Lloyd is a pretty funny character too.

I think this is a mistake in how people judge the show. It's never really been a good show. The acting/writing have always been suspect, it's just very entertaining in a escapist "gosh I wish this was me/this looks fun" kinda way.

That effect gets lost when it ever dares to take itself seriously.
