I would compare him to Tiger Woods in terms of success...I can't put my finger on why though, just a feeling.

thanks for the input and minimal leveling, that's a pretty good amount of money that bobby baldwin is pulling in and I think he's more poker-oriented than gates and beal..

Why does Bobby Baldwin count for doing stuff that's not poker or poker related? If he counts and Bill Gates doesn't, what about Guy Lalibierte (plays high stakes and much much richer than BB) or Paul Phillips (possibly close to BB in poker winnings and might be richer from other stuff)?

because BB started out as a professional poker player to originally make money, all those other people became rich and then played poker as a hobby
