Re: Easy question...
11 will guarntee an A. If he picks the worst combination (a combination that includes the 4 you don't know) you'll still get an A. If you knew only 10 he could pick 5 questions you didn't know.

Re: Easy question...
visualized: a="know", b="dont know": possible scenario if you know ten: aaaaaaaaaabbbbb, prof picks final seven, you dont know one. if you know eleven you are good: aaaaaaaaaaabbbb, prof cant pick seven where you dont know one.

[/ QUOTE ] I wouldnt learn more than 10 then, unless I was going to be shot for failing or something, assuming there's 0 correlation between the questions you learn & the questions that appear on the exam. Chance's of "failing" 7*6*5*4/15/14/13/12 = small. |

Re: Easy question...
i learned 10. Aced it no issue.
had the same type thing for the essay section as well (6 given, 3 will b on the midterm, answer 1), also got one i knew on there (only knew 3). new level of laziness? or maximizing time-value? |
