A248 ds, hit 3 pair!
Haven't seen much of the guy on the button - only 10 hands or so, but he doesn't seem to be splashing around too much. Comments on all streets please.
Button has something like $8.50 behind after his flop bet so he's effectively committed. Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $1/$1 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $99.00 Hero: $91.70 CO: $85.10 Button: $43.50 SB: $370.60 BB: $59.10 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $3, CO folds, Button raises to $11, 2 folds, Hero calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($24, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $24, Hero raises to $50 |

Re: A248 ds, hit 3 pair!
AA is a real possibility. Since you have no low at the time, I really don't see the point of the check/raise since theres no fold equity at all to it. If you're going to call on the flop then I would much rather you bet out.

Re: A248 ds, hit 3 pair!
With your raise you bet $32.5 into a pot of $56.5 (48 plus the 8.5 button still has) and your hand should be good enough to do that. But, as said above, instead of checking the flop you should have bet the pot hoping to take it immediately.
I also don't like the pre-flop raise from early position with a, albeit double suited, low hand. However, this gave button the interesting opportunity to shut out the blinds with a hand he figures to be doing well heads up. That possibility is a further reason to bring it to a showdown with 3 pairs, 2 backdoor flush draws and a low draw. |
