I immediately act like I didn't see the knight and try to pull the bishop back. Villain insists "You took your hand off! You have to leave it there!" I groan in disgust, say "[censored] you, man" and leave the bishop. Villain immediately plays

for the stalemate.

Beat: I didn't win. Also, I suck at chess.

Brag: I trapped him!!


Variance: Villain is a chess coach, despite the fact that he's not much better than me.

I moved my bishop to square g4, pretended that I wanted to take it back, and convinced villain to capture it with his knight. When he did that, I wasn't in check but couldn't make any move, so it was a stalemate (tie). If he hadn't captured my bishop, he would have checkmated me quickly.
