A proven veteran mediocrity. Even in his best seasons, he was nothing special.

Is Romo better? I don't know, but Bledsoe has been one of the worst starting QBs in the NFL this year and he's not playing well enough to take them to the playoffs anyway, especially being behind on tie breakers to strong NY and Philly teams.

With their record and tough schedule, they are basically done. Might as well give Romo the reps and see if he is the long-term solution.

I seriously doubt Romo is the next Tom Brady, or even a QB who could be compared to him.

He just has to be better than Bledsoe.

Bledsoe isn't mobile enough for their offense. With him they have to play max protect all the time to keep him from getting sacked all the time, and that hasn't worked too well. They need the mobility of Romo so they can open up the offense.

It's not just the individual comparison that is inappropraite, the situation was completely different. Bledsoe got hurt, Brady filled in and played well for two months before Bledsoe came back. If Romo leads the Cowboys to the playoffs, then you might have something to compare.
