Default NFL Lock Hall of Famers

We had a MLB Poll last week. Who do you think the ultimate locks are for the NFL Hall of Fame.

(I'll include just current NFLers)

QB:

Peyton
Brady
Favre

RB:

Shaun Alexander
Faulk

WR:

Harrison
Rod Smith
Terrell Owens
Bruce (not as sure as the others)

TE:

Gonzalez

OL

Walter Jones
Ogden
Willie Anderson
Will Shields
Larry Allen
Orlando Pace
Kevin Mawae

DE

Strahan
Jason Taylor (not as big of a lock as others)
Richard Seymour (pertty good odds to get in, he's been just dominant for the Pats)

DT

I can't think of any yet.

OLB:

Seau
Porter
Derrick Brooks

ILB:

Z. Thomas
Lewis
Urlacher

CBs

Law
Madison (not exaclty sure)

K:

Viniteri
Elam

Guys with are on there way to the HOF (4 or more years starting) or are close

LT
Gates
Steve Smith
Dwight Freeney
Julius Peppers
Champ Bailey
Al Wilson
Casey Hampton
Jamal Williams
Chad Johnson
Ronde Barber
Roy Williams (Safety)
Brian Dawkins
Steve Hutchingson
Olin Kreutz (best C in the game)
Deangelo Hall
Tom Nalen
Willie McGinest
Holt
Moss
Hines Ward

I'm probally forgetting many.

Other question. Is Warner in. He's one I couldn't decide on easily.

Your probally right on Willie. SA has the TD record, his TD numbers are rediculous. Joey probally should go in the second group. I'm pretty sure TO will make it. His TD #s are rediculously good. He's been very good for many years. I guess he could go in the second group but he's closer than most in that 2nd group.

I dont have a problem with Madison not being in either although at 1 time he was very dominant.

Modern Era (majority of career '46 onward), NFL HOF

16 Linebackers
17 Wide Receivers
1 Kicker

They only vote in 3-6 a year. That includes coaches and "old timers".
I think you have too many at some positions.

The only guys I think that will drop are:

Anderson
Porter
Madison
Elam

I think that Seau, Brooks, Thomas, Lewis and Urlacher are locks. Lewis, Seau and Urlacher being ahead of Thomas and Brooks slightly.

Agreed. Vinatieri should get in because of the super bowl kicks, but I doubt Elam will get in.

Reed good one.

Martin, good one as well. Forgot he was still playing.

Anyone have any ideas on any other cover corners? Bailey is honestly the only one of note that's any good and has enough experience to be a lock. I'm running blanks on them and DTs.

If you are going to put Owens in, you better put Moss in.
