Both QQ and AKs are marginal calls vs. that range, add QQ to our pushing range and it's not even close.

Yes, looks like a very marginal call actually against that range, which surprised me. Still, I don't think he's likely to call with QQ and AK. Isn't the definition of a nit to not push marginal edges like this one?

What's wrong with a smaller 4-bet?

What you thinkof making a smaller 4bet tolike 400 and induce a shove from Ak/perhaps QQ

If he's a nit I 4bet pre or at least shove flop. I don't like way this wuz played, trying not to be results oriented.

yeah, looking back at it i agree that i should've shoved preflop. my thinking at the time was that i was worried too few worse hands would call, but villain would be getting decent odds to call with AK/QQ and i'd expect he'd call either one.

one reason i wanted to just call was to bring along the $200-stack poster. if i push or 4bet he's going to fold almost all of his hands, but if i call i thought i could get an overcall or a "oh screw it, i'm all-in" push which i oculd then repush over.

can we talk about the postflop? i think getting it in on that flop does not look very good. he's only going to stack off with QQ, AA, and AQ if he has squeezes there with AQ.

How do you play turn if it's a blank? If we check and he still shoves, do we still have to fold because his hand is usually AA or QQ?
