Default totally standard but need a sanity check

Villain 35/8/2.1 over 49 hands

Haven't really tangled with villain before

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

7 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (5 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7 BB

Too optimistic to bet flop, turn? The river check-call is spew I am sure.

With the possible busted flush draw, I think the river check-call is perfectly reasonable. Well-played.

Check/folding the river would be terrible.

I think I want to bet river for value but check/calling to induce a bluff can't be that much worse assuming it's not the best play.

seems fine. I'd expect this particular villian to stick in a raise someone if he has Kx or better. if no busted flush then I wouldnt be surprised to see him have J10, another lesser 10x or maybe even some donky 7x.

Looks fine to me, too. The river was a blank, and you were inducing a bluff? Or did you just want to see if you could showdown for free?

I like it.
I like much more c/c river then b/f at busted FD and 2 overcards that bit you.

Small sample but...I think he would have been more agg if he had hit the king.

ch.call is good cos we can expect him to bet very often with nothing or very little if we check there.
