don't post multi-hand questions

what do you think the PF capper has in either spot??

hand 1:
on the turn ... you're hoping BB is overplaying AQ?
and in general: flop cc2 + turn Raise usually mean a set (especially when OOP)
i can find a fold here
but callin down isn't really 'wrong'

hand 2:
i think you are toast but I would have a hard time folding an OP when HU

note: your 'crycalling' was on the turn ... if you called the turn (you really should be calling the river) ... or do you think this guy has AJ?

1) I play it the same.

2) Don't call the turn if you're folding the river. The second jack isn't as bad as it looks. The only Jx hand that makes sense is AJ, and post people won't 3bet pf with that. I just call down from the flop.

3) I have no idea

smurph ...

i see no reason in this spot to cap the flop in hand 2 ...

it's HU if he has a worse hand than you - let him bet it

***
i do like a flop cap in hand 1 though ..
but if BB leads the turn you have to fold ...
and if given the chance to bet first - if raised ... you have to fold

Hand two I don't want him to draw out. I am ahead more often than not here. It's a 3 bet as Landon pointed out if he caps then I call down.

Hand one we are ahead way more than we are behind here. Its a simple value bet with a dead man in the middle donating.

Why would we not want him to donate the max?

I am not going into passive mode 3 way ever on the flop with those hands unless I am overcarded. As per hand 3 I call a 3bet, everything else max.

after he 3bets and you cap and he raises the flop ... what range of hand do you feel you are "way ahead of"

note: you haven't been given specific info on any player ... and this is 1/2 not 10c-20c ... you can not assume that a general player is a random donkey (so don't play them as such)

again ... you can not assume random donkey here

generally is a guy is cold calling you on the flop get ready to be raised on the turn ... the only reason I cap the flop is so I don't get into a situation of having to call one in between (which will give the illusion of having larger pot odds when it comes back to me)
flop and turn is "one motion play" they are connected

compound this with the fact that this other guy who "3bet PF OOP" ... still likes his hand after you cap
you cap - he leads - you raise - HE RERAISES YOU OOP

take a hint
you are not good here too many times

1/2 FR is usually nitty. We're not good often enough to push for value.

Also, don't worry about getting drawn out on. The only hand we're worried about drawing out is AK, and if he's willing to bluff it then let him.
