Default spam mail or something more?

This a marketing technique? Or should I be worried. I'd never even heard of amcopoker until i got this to my usual poker e-mail.

if you haven't previously had any contact with that site, it is probably spam mail.

it would seem odd for a legitimate organisatoin to contact you like you describe.

I've seen a significant increase in spam of this form, welcoming me to site X while verifying my name/password. I assume it's a phishing scam to get you to try to login and change your name/password to something you normally use so they can get valid name/password combos to try at real sites.
