What are you guys talking about?

[/ QUOTE ]

It was something that was said on a televised poker broadcast. You register and lurk for three weeks and that is you first post?

[/ QUOTE ]

I have been lurking a LOT longer. Only registered to adjust board settings...

I was just wondering which broadcast it was so I can look for it and watch it.

Calling your B.S. bluffs, of course.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the board paired on the river.

"If an opponent calls you on the turn with Ace high cause he thinks you got nothing, he's gonna call you on the river when the board then pairs. And if he had a draw rather than ace-high, then your hand wins at showdown when you simply check"

Especially when you make a fairly small bet.

I'm not a JG basher, but this wasn't the most logical play and I agree it was annoying to here him defend it for 5 minutes.

The board paired kings on the river.

I can't believe that Gold would (a) think Doyle would lay down on the river and (b) think that he made some sort of world-class play. Oooh, you made a value bet with ace-high. You are just awesome.

I was more surprised that he continued to try and run bluffs on world-class players after after Brunson called him with A-high and won. Specifically, the horrible river bet against Negraneau when Gold held 54s.

I really can't offer an opinion because I had no idea what the [censored] he was saying. I mean he could have had a point, but I just had no idea what he was talking about.

Holy [censored], are you serious? He's saying that a player like Jamie Gold is very exploitable because he'll often try to bluff you off ace high when it's the best hand.

[/ QUOTE ]does he also value bet bottom pair when the opponent has A high? this whole discussion is stupid because it has no context. its like me starting a thread called "when you hold the nuts on the river, you should probably bet" then someone responding with "if you bet the nuts everytime on the river, people like doyle will pick that off in an instant."

That segment was one of the funniest things on HSP, I almost fell out of my chair. He just kept saying it over and over like pleading for someone to tell him it was an okay play.
