That is a rough spot. I have tended to find that when most short-stacks make massive overbets like this they have the goods. Chalk me down for fold.

I made a SICK hero call yesterday at the turn then got sucked out for like $200.

It turned my $+800 day into a 24-hour net $-200 tilt.

Not a big hit to my BR, but I'm still mentally in ICU.

I may as well add my reasoning here:

A flush shouldn't be confident on a river like this.
A naked 9 has no value in a shove.
Higher straight shouldn't be confident on river.
This COULD be a decent push for the 8 if he could put me on the 6, which he obviously can't. This line is strange but possible from the 8 if he puts me on an overpair or he has 89.
99 - Could be a sick line if it looked like I had anything, but this doesn't look like a value bet.

My read at this point is that his most likely holding is 2 overs, probably with straight draw + 1 club. If I had to pick a single specific hand I would put him on JT with 1 club, probably the jack. I figure QJ with 1 club is also possible, but not as likely.
