Default Blind Battle w/ Plan to Catch Bluffs; Rivered Trips

100NL 6 max

$100 effective stacks

Villain is LPA, something like 40/10/4 AF > 3 on all streets, very high on the river (~8). Fold to cbet is also interestingly high at 65-70%. Villain is a little loose preflop but folds to cbet often to preflop raiser. However, anytime you give him the initiative he's firing/firing/firing.

Hero has J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in SB

Folds to Hero who raises to $3.50, BB calls

Flop:
9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hero bets $6, BB calls

auto cbet here, esp with top pair against a frequent cbet folder.

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero checks, BB bets $12, Hero calls.

My hand is probably good but I don't want to turn it into a bluff. In fact, I want to be catching his aggro bluffs. My plan is to c/c any river if the bet is reasonable ( < 3/4 pot lets say).

River: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Hm that changes my plan a bit. We're still checking right? and do we C/R, if so how much? Possible to get a weak K or 7 to call a c/r?

Think we're checking because hes prob betting with or without a pair....

Thanks

You got 89 and 9T beat right? Stick it in there.

I actually like betting the river for like $30. It looks kind of wierd (you c/c the turn and now bet) and I think he checks behind the river with pairs more then you think.

I did shove, he folded.

As for leading out on the river, I am trying to assess whether that would have been a better move. It would only be better if he somehow backed into a K and would call something like $30-$40. Hard to tell... but its somewhat unlikely hes got a K so I dunno.
