Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
Tropicana has a young crowd on weekends, use it as a last resort. But there is no security so getting in isnt a problem

Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
You can buy dead room key cards on Ebay for almost any Vegas hotel. If you're so inclined, a dead key card will likely get you into the pools that only require you to show your key, but not those that require you to actually scan it.

Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
The room keys for MGM have to be current and active. You give that to them, then have to tell them your name and they match it up with the occupancy listing. Good thing my buddy had a copy of his card when he lost it then found it again, hehe. We both used one in different lines

Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
This thread is right up my alley. I live in Vegas, and I've been sneaking into pools ever since the management of my building started "fixing" our pool last October... they say it will be done by late August .
Your best option for no-hassle swimming is at the Flamingo. The pool is great and you can walk in undisturbed from the entrance near the monorail. It's the only "A" pool you can walk right into. Everywhere else you'll have to pull shenanigans with a room key. A step down from the Flamingo is the Hilton, but avoid it on a windy day because it's on the 3rd floor. Also, beware of kids running around. None of the other pools on the north side of the strip are that great. The Riviera has a surprising amount of hot girls, but it's so crowded that it's usually not worth it. The worst pool is the Stardust. It's small, crowded, filled with old ladies, and everybody leaves their used, sweaty towels on the lounges when they leave. The pools at IP and Harrahs are no frills and very crowded. The pool at the Sahara sucks, but it seems to attract a lot of skanky tourists, and may be your best shot at a hookup. All pools are better on weekdays when the crowd is thinner. |

Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
The Hard Rock is accessible with a flash of the keycard, or you can walk in via the doors near the conference center/gym/parking lot. Basically, come out of the parking garage elevator and take the first right.

Re: Guerilla Swimming in Vegas?
Yeah, I've been to the pool at the Hard Rock before (famous for its hot women) when I wasn't a guest and didn't have a problem. One day there were some celebrities (Lil Kim, etc.) hanging out at the pool and a lot of people wanted to get in, so they were very strict about checking keycards. However, any other day we didn't have a problem. This was years ago, so they may have tightened up.
