why are we not 3 betting here preflop? flop is fine [/ QUOTE ] No need to increase the pot size preflop with JJ in my opinion, especially against this type of player. I think I play a lot better than him postflop and my edge is increased in a smaller pot. My holding is also disguised and I feel I can win more this way. I will 3-bet sometimes, but I would rather 3-bet a different range of hands. /Preflop What other lines do you think are possible postflop? what do you think of the shove? This villain is somewhat unknown, especially postflop, what kind of hands do you think he would raise on the flop? |

Re: 5/10 trips vs pfr on monotone board
I don`t like the shove here. I would shove here with a Combo draw or Tp and Nut FD.
You don`t have fold equity over hands that you beat. Make it to 400 and hope he shoves or calls. If he called and it`s a non spade push it. |

Re: 5/10 trips vs pfr on monotone board
Why would we want fold equity over hands we beat? This is value town.
looks good |

Worse case for us here is 35% equity, so pushing this flop is always best. |

Re: 5/10 trips vs pfr on monotone board
well its ok i think, you might get a call from AKs, AQ or AJ, and unless he has AA,QQ your not in bad shape no matter what.
but i would also reraise preflop every time |

Re: 5/10 trips vs pfr on monotone board
pf is fine.
i like leading the flop a lot. my first inclination was to c/r but i think this line is much better. shove is good. |
