Default When it\'s wise to second barrel bluff on low stakes 5-10$ HU sngs

Let's say i raise from the button with A9. Opponent calls and i miss. There's a heart draw on board but i havent got any outs except an overcard to the board. Is it wise to second barrel against tight opponent if he calls on the flop?

Also, i think it's like a no-brainer to second barrel if i
have no info about my opponent. But if i see him fold when im betting to my top pair, is it correct play to start to fire again on the turn. and is it like half of the pot on the turn or more (maybe 2/3) if villain calls on the flop with like 2 hearts on board. Semibluffs of course but what about stone cold bluffs. Third bullet is like a no brainer but im intrested in turn play.

It depends on the texture of the flop for me. If theres a chance my opponent is on a draw (read-dependant), i might double barrel, and if i miss on the river, check to get a free showdown (ace high might be good).

However, most of the time i would be inclined to check. Your hand can't stand a reriase on the turn. Also, if you do hit yr ace on the river and yr opponent bets into you. You profit, rather than if u had bet on the turn and he folded.

Other than that i agree with tmcdmck, i prefer to look for a reason not to double and triple barrel

What's the proper bet size adjusted to the pot. If i'm value betting, its usually half of the pot on the turn. What's ur opinion on this. Should i bet more (2/3 maybe)?????

If you know somebody can fold, but it's less likely you're playing of those players in the 5s or 10s and more likely you get floated with K hi or bottom pair/gutshot, etc. That means second barrels should be less frequent in these games bc you'll be value betting lighter bc you're getting looked up super light.

As a whole you're bluffing less the lower the stake.

Semi bluffs are a different case and should be used more frequently than stone cold bluffs (obviously).

I use the second barrel bluff sparingly in these sngs. You get called down light kind of often

also - if this fails you are out a few hundred chips, which sucks.

i look for a few things when i follow through on the turn

1) a well coordinated board. I'll follow through if there is a flush draw/straight draw that missed.

2) i still have a good number of outs. if im 20% on the turn, ill bet - i figure he folds enough/i hit enough on the river for this to be worth while

3)villain that can fold.

Liking money is a pretty valid reason.

hence me not doing it when they are likely to call. which people seem to be massively overestimating the frequency of (at least until they have adjusted). not many people will call a river shove with 2nd pair vs a well executed bluff, allowing you to take down a massive pot if you can make a nice read.
