I am not sure if that is good news or bad news.

From my understanding, it's good news.

I heard from a reliable source today that the UIGEA regs may be delayed for 2 to 3 months. Let's use this delay to intensify our lobbying.

E,

How reliable and was there a reasoning for such a long delay? Everything seems to point to this month. 2-3 months sure would be nice though.

If you write a news story on this please post or pm me it.

Agreed, we need to use this time to our advantage.

As a side note, it sets kyl straight concerning the regs.
In his July 24 comments to Gonzales during his last Senate appearence Kyl stated they were already in place and public, which we knew then was not the case.

From the Washington Post Transcript: [ QUOTE ]
KYL: The regs -- the proposed regs have been made public. My question really was a broader one. You have engaged in prosecutions under other laws as well, and I was simply giving you an opportunity to express your intentions to continue to enforce all of these laws to the extent that they need to be enforced.

Is it just me or is there a perceptible shift by Kyl, centering on sports betting and a lack of push concerning poker that he normally has made in hearings?

I'll let you know. Also, I jumped the gun a bit by mentioning a specific timeline. I can't confirm the expected time for the delay at this time, but I can confirm that it is expected to be long enough that we use it to our advantage.

Also, I'm not a Casino Gambling Web rep.
